FAQs
What is required to hire a new employee in California?
California’s onboarding process requires extensive new employee paperwork. It is important that your onboarding checklist covers not only I-9 forms and tax documents, but also specific paperwork for non-exempt employees, California agency brochures, and other required employee notices. It is recommended for employees to also sign specific policy acknowledgments, at-will statements, and other documents, all included in CEA’s New Hire Packet.
