Online Test

  • The Implicit Association Test (IAT) (Project Implicit, Harvard University) The IAT measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about. For example, you may believe that women and men should be equally associated with science, but your automatic associations could show that you (like many others) associate men with science more than you associate women with science. We also research the benefits to employers and workers when workplace climates are more welcoming of LGBTQ people.
  • Disrupt Bias, Drive Value (Center for Talent Innovation, 2017) Centered on dramatic findings which chart the incidence of perceived bias, this nationwide study identifies where bias occurs in corporate America's talent assessment processes, maps out which talent cohorts perceive bias in which areas, and measures bias's cost to the bottom line.

Communicate Like a Leader

Studies tell us 70 % of mistakes in the workplace are a direct result of poor communication! Business professionals must have rules and tools for communicating effectively. Everyone need a firm foundation in listening mechanics and  conflict resolution, Every leader must develop these communication skills, or face considerable hardship navigating organizational life, its stressors, and the unique demands inherent in leading others.

Conflict Resolution — Pause, Reflect, Listen, and Learn

Conflict in the workplace is often rooted in our inability to listen and learn. It is a natural part of team building and when effectively managed conflict is constructive not destructive. Using the model of Pause, Reflect, Listen and Learn you will be able to recognize the cause and choose steps to work through and mediate conflict when occurs between team members.

Harassment Prevention Training for Employees

Effective January 1, 2019, California businesses with 5 or more employees MUST provide harassment prevention training every two years (SB1343).  We also have a one hour version of this new training program for employees only.

On August 30, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 778. This bill was effective immediately and extended the deadline for employers with five (5) or more employees to provide anti-harassment training by one year – from January 1, 2020 until January 1, 2021. It also allows covered employers who have provided anti-harassment training in 2019 to wait until 2021 before providing refresher training.

Learning Objectives:

  • A fresh look at harassment, discrimination, retaliation and governing laws

  • Discuss practical measures to create a safe and respectful workplace

This training expresses your organization’s strong disapproval of any form of harassment and discrimination based on a variety of “protected characteristics” under state and federal law. This course also helps employees identify the difference between legal discrimination and an illegal “hostile environment”, promotes appropriate behavior, and reduces the potential for harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims.

Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace

Businesses understand that employees with high Emotional Intelligence have a greater impact on the success of their company. In addition, studies have shown that emotional intelligence has a greater impact on one’s success than their IQ. Emotional intelligence (EI) can be defined as the ability to be aware of one’s own emotions and those of others and regulate personal emotions to facilitate effective thinking, action and relationships.

Emotional intelligence abilities are skills that can be learned. This training will enable you to identify and develop the EQ of you and your team.

It is a crucial component of a leader’s ability to influence and impact followers. The real test of leadership is how we lead during a crisis and beyond!
