Respiratory Protection
Air is one of the most basic elements of our world, and as humans, we need the oxygen it provides to live. However, our health can be endangered when we breathe in air that has been contaminted by dusts, mists, vapors or fumes. In fact, breathing in air that contains such contaminatnts or is low in oxygen can cause serious illness and injuries and, in some cases, even death.
Unfortunately, employees sometimes have to work in areas in which the atmosphere isn't safe. In these situations, special equipment is needed to help them breathe safely and avoid harm.
The outcomes of your respiratory protection program will be as follows:
- Identification of airborne hazards in the workplace
- Proper selection, use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of respirators
- Proper medical evaluations of employees
- Proper training for employees
