WHAT IS EMPLOYMENT BOOT CAMP?
Employment Boot Camp is a one-week program during
which unemployed workers receive training on a
variety of skills including:
- How to Read a Tape Measure
- Safety (Safe Lifting, Lockout/Tagout, Accident
Prevention)
- Applications & Resumes
- Interview Skills
- Sexual Harassment Awareness
- Diversity Training
- Customer Service
- Attitude in the Workplace
- Conflict Management
- Personality Assessment
WHY SHOULD I HIRE A BOOT CAMP GRADUATE?
Participants are pre-screened and must pass a drug
test before enrolling in the Boot Camp.
In order to graduate from our program, Boot Camp
Participants must:
- Pass a Drug Test
- Pass an Employment Verification
- Be Punctual Every Day
- Pass all Curriculum Tests
- Be Able to Read a Tape Measure
- Have a Positive Attitude
- Be Interested in a Career, Not just a Job!
WHAT ARE MY OBLIGATIONS?
As a “participating employer,” we ask
that you:
- Attend our Job Fair and interview any Boot
Camp Graduate who applies with your company
(the Job Fair is only open to Boot Camp Graduates)
- Offer a job site tour, if your company policy
allows
- Speak at Orientation in order to introduce
your company to our potential participants and
allow them to see the opportunities that they
will gain by taking part in our program.
On-site Employment Boot Camps
For businesses who are recruiting employees, CEA provides an On-site Employment Boot Camp Program which includes recruitment, employment screening, drug testing, and the following job skills training for new employees:
• True Colors for the Work Place (personality assessment)
• Skills Assessment (following directions, accuracy, basic math, and comprehension)
• Safety Training and/or Customer Service
• Conflict Management
• Diversity Training
• Sexual Harassment Awareness
