Meal and rest periods: Brinker Restaurants v. Superior Court of San Diego County. 7/24/08
A number of former employees sought to file a class action lawsuit against Brinker based on claims that the employees did not receive meal and rest periods and that their employer forced them to work off the clock and shaved time off of their time records to avoid liability for meal and rest periods.

Mandatory Harassment Training for Supervisors in 2005
Governor Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 1825 (AB 1825) in September of 2004, requiring California employers with 50 or more employees to provide supervisors with two hours of sexual harassment training, every two years.
